Pros: Pilates Basic 1 I would like to emphasize the importance of watching the preliminary portion first. Even a couple of times. Pilates has its own terminology to describe exercises and body movement and Pastor Lynn is kind enough to take the time to explain them to us. Also, the breathing technique is counter-intuitive to what most of us have been taught over the years. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated her going over the inhale and exhale multiple times throughout both the preliminary DVD as well as the full workout portion of the DVD. I would gladly recommend this DVD to anyone.

Pros: This product thoroughly meets expectations for preliminary basic Pilates. Anyone, even a senior citizen like me, can benefit from the informative and encouraging instruction. It is an inspiring foundation for other Pilates work.

NON-Intimidating for Beginners

Length of ownership: 1 month-1 year

Pros: Very thorough demonstrations and clear explanations of the most common Pilates exercises! I started with part 2 like the description suggested, which was extremely helpful and made these basic exercises not so intimidating for me, as someone just getting back into this type of exercising. I will definitely do this video at least once a week!

Great for the Core!

Length of ownership: 1 month-1 year

Pros: Very clear explanation of basic Pilates exercises. This is extra challenging! But sticking to it consistently will build a strong core which all dancers need!

Pros: I appreciated that Pastor Lynn started us, in the basic pilates position and kept building up the exercises. The progression was natural ; with thorough demonstrations.
