Biography:

Amy Tang is a certified Liturgical Dance Educator with a passion for equipping believers of all ages and skill levels to use their bodies to worship Jesus. She loves to help the lay dancer learn how to express their heart to the Lord by building a vocabulary of movement using expressive gestures and modern dance.  She also helps experienced dancers learn how to use their art to glorify God by teaching them the biblical basis for dance and helping them to interpret God’s stories through dance. 

Amy lives and ministers in Pasadena, CA where she teaches a modern dance to youth, offers worship dance workshops for adults, leads a summer kids’ praise dance camp, and creates training tutorials to help worship dancers with choreography and ministry.  She has been choreographing worship dances in her church for the past twenty-one years. She and her husband of twenty-three years have three teenage sons. 

Amy holds a certificate of license and ordination through Dancing For Him Ministries. She has completed the Worship Dance Teacher’s Training course, Dance Ministry Leadership Course, and Dance Ministry Master course through Dancing For Him Ministries as well as the Liturgical Dance Certification program through the Praise Dance Life. Amy authored the curriculum “A Child Shall Lead Them – Ten Worship Dance Lessons for Children”  that has been used by hundreds of dance ministry leaders to equip children to praise God in the dance. In addition, she authored, Behind the Veil, an Active Study Guide, Devotions in Motion, and Teaching Worship Dance to Children - the Online Course.
