Pros: Divine Choreography Tips & Techniques Book 1 by Pastor Lynn Haydn is full of detailed information from her years of experience as a professional dancer on how to make the most of a Worship Dancers movements so they can minister effectively to God and their audience.

Pros: I really appreciate the fact that in this book Pastor Lynn emphasizes and keeps coming back to the idea of Divine choreography - that God is the source of all our inspiration for our choreography and that the purpose of our choreography is to express His heart and to minister that to other people. The chapters that really go into detail about specific choreographic techniques are packed with information! I have been able to incorporate several of these techniques into the dance that I am currently choreographing. I think it has helped to add more variation and hopefully the Lord will be able to use it to minister more effectively.

Pros: Pastor Lynn has really a gift to explain complex matters in an easy way, so that everyone can understand it. I love this book! It is so great for composing a choreography, understanding the concepts of interesting movements and directions, and how to create a beautiful compostition and choreography.

Pros: In the DVD you see how Pastor Lynn works with a group of dancers. How she explains the exercises and what concepts are behind them. Then she divids them into small groups from 3-4 dancers and they show all the creative ideas they have come up with. So you get a lot of ideas for your own choreography and composition. At the end of the DVD you see a whole dance performance and can watch how all is put together. So this DVD is really valuable to have when working with a group of dancers and ministering in the church through dance. What a blessing!

Pros: The Divine Choreography Book speaks about the different ways of choreography. As I worked through this resource, I learned how inspiration comes. Just like the companion DVD, this book highlights the importance of prayer and fasting.

Pros: This is an incredible resource for those choreographing or aiding in the choreography process for team efforts. It takes a lot to have a vision for what a choreographed dance should end up looking like and how to get there and add multiple human beings to the mix. This book covers the heart, power and inspiration behind it all coming through to fruition from beginning to end and the techniques to continue growing in and explore as you choreograph praise dances for a soloist, duet or full on team. The best part is the appendix at the end sharing many activities to mature your team dynamic as well as give you ideas of what to do with your team!

Pros: There are some new words that will bring power and dimension to my future choreography termed as “Actions of the Body”, “Quality of Movement – Dynamics” and “Spatial Environment” as well as “Relationship” these are all taken from Laban’s Analysis of Movement. Specifically discussed are Dynamics which will definitely add interest to movement ministry. Adding intentional dynamics that change the power or contrast movements will add an element of surprise and fascination to movements. This will certainly catch the congregants eye and engage them more visually while their hearts are touched by the message being ministered in movement.

Pros: This book gives you insight bring depth and dimension to your dance. I have purchase this book a few years back and it change the entire vocabulary for our entire team. I love Pastor Lynn's do's and don't that helps in exemplifying a spirit of excellence!

Pros: This is a great resource almost like a bible for dance choreography. It is packed full of instructional foundations that can take just a little bit of creativity and turn it into a magnificent presentation. This is a must book for any dance movement ministry.

Pros: This is an extremely detailed book about how to choreograph a worship dance. Pastor Lynn explains that it is divine because we allow the leading of the Holy Spirit to create the dances and we also walk in excellence when performing the dances.

Pros: This book goes into detail about variations of movement and stage positioning. It is a gift that keeps giving . I know that sounds corny but it is true. I was able to apply what I read when I went to see a performance. I applied the concepts of this book to what I observed and was able to see how they enhanced that performance.

Pros: Pastor Lynn Hayden’s Divine Choreography book is the gold standard to understand the significance of body positions and direction of movement. It is a critically important resource to equip worship dancers to partner with the Holy Spirit to create powerful worship dance pieces. The information in this book gives non-trained dancers insight to unlock the “secret code” of choreography. How much more powerful when combined with the anointing of God!

Pros: In conjunction with the companion DVD, this book is a fantastic resource for learning how to use various techniques and concepts to give your dances “life” and help them to more effectively reach the hearts of those being ministered to. This is indeed another great book to add to your library.

Pros: The Book Divine Choreography explains in a lot more detail what Pastor Lynn talked about in her coordinating DVD which contained many great ideas, tips and techniques about choreographing a dance from beginning to end. It is an excellent resource because it shows diagrams of spacing and floor patterns which allowed me to be able to visualize things more effectively. For example, Stage Spacing may seem simple to some but it was much easier to grasp once I saw the diagram provided in the book.

Pros: “Divine Choreography” has a wealth of information that helps the Choreographer with techniques, concepts, do’s and don’ts, for a finished presentation. Many concepts are discussed and will help tremendously to apply technique to the inspiration the Spirit of God has given to further the quality and content of the presentation.

Pros: Divine Choreography is a rich resource on both spiritual and practical levels.  In chapter 1, the paragraph about "creation" has a powerful spiritual proclamation message that helped and encouraged me on spiritual level as well as the technical level. The idea that God has created us from dust reminded me that we as choreographers create our dance from a scratch and we should bear our Father's character in that and be creative, and to order to do so we need to be more close to His heart to reflect this essence in what we do.

Pros: In the beginning, Elohim created. And He Who is timeless is still creating--through praise and worship dance! Pastor Lynn takes the fact that the LORD gives us divine inspirations and combines it with dance terms, and gives us an excellent "formula for successful dance ministry." I learned many technical things from this book, and appreciate the helpful list of "do's and don'ts" at the end of it.

Pros: Divine Choreography is an extremely useful and practical book for learning the technical side of choreography and how to find inspiration from God to create a dance. I did not realize all the thought and effort that goes into putting creative worship together until reading through this book. It contains vocabulary, descriptions, and ideas for putting dances together at are easy to read and easy for a beginner, such as myself, to understand. It's like sitting in a class for Choreography 101. Reading this book has definitely enhanced my choreography and given me a broader base of ideas for putting dances together, while always coming back to the sources of our inspiration, the Holy Spirit.

Pros: I love this book as it lists all the many different techniques for creating great choreography and how to keep it focused on heavenly inspiration and to bring Glory to God! It is all listed here – and being able to refer to the many examples and rules as a guide – our choreographies will be more balanced, interesting to the people watching the dances so that they will not get repetitious to those watching our dances. When we run out of our own ideas – this is the perfect reference to go to and discover more than we can imagine and get inspired by the ideas and rules of creating different movements and tips for interesting balance with several to many dancers, all the way from the entrance and a nice introduction to the main part of the dance, verses, movement contrasts and to the ending and many different ways of exiting the stage.

Some of my earliest dance pieces were choreographed just for movement. There was minimal travel and variation. I also didn’t have a purpose behind my choreography.
