With Pastor Lynn M Hayden

With nearly 60 years of dance experience behind her, Lynn has dedicated all her ballet, modern, jazz, and choreography technique to the Lord for His glory. She has performed with the Towson State University Dance Company, and the Ballet Theatre of Annapolis and and has been ministering, for the Lord, through dance, since 1986. Lynn is a well-known author of eight books on worship and prophetic dance, and producer of more than thirty worship dance DVD’s and administrates a successful on line ministry dance school. Lynn assisted the choreographer and danced in Integrity Hosanna’s music video “Sing Out” with Ron Kenoly; and has traveled, teaching Dancing For Him Conferences for over 20 years. As founder, director and administrator for the Dancing For Him ONLINE SCHOOL, Lynn is a gifted leader of leaders. Her graduates have grown substantially in their call to dance for the Lord. Many people mentored by Lynn, over the years, have successfully gone on to have their own dance teams, hold their own workshops, choreograph beautiful ministry dances and even write their own books. The school has enabled Lynn to perpetuate her legacy of transforming hearts and changing lives, through ministry dance. Many lives have been touched and changed by this unique, ministry. It is much more then just learning how to dance. Lynn utilizes the Prophetic arts as a means by which to minister the heart of God. Lynn also ministers in dance directly to the congregation with an anointing that breaks the yoke of bondage, heals and delivers!

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

BALLET BARRE/PILATES/STRETCH - TUESDAY  9:30AM - 10:30AM EST

Ballet Barre
Pilates 
Stretch/Flexibility

BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE CLASS
This class will begin with about a 40 minute ballet barre workout, move into core work with Pilates' Series of 5 and planks, then finish with a nice stretch.

Exercises will move right along from one to the next, with some explanations, leaning more toward beginner/intermediate level. It is for people who have had some ballet training before and are familiar with some basic terminology and positions, etc. However those with no training are welcome.

Note: If you have had no previous ballet or modern dance technique training, it is advised that you view/practice the Ballet I VIDEO/DVD and/or Pilates VIDEO/DVD as well as the Stretch and Adoration Video, to familiarize yourself with some basic movement concepts.

PILATES/STRETCH WORKOUT - WEDNESDAY  9:30AM - 10:30AM EST

You'll definitely want to strengthen your body and improve your flexibility, for worship dance (or any physical activity) through these 18 basic exercises (45-50 minutes), then flow into a nice, relaxing stretching time (15-20 minutes) to improve flexibility!

The benefits are wonderful and numerous. To name a few: Core strength is one of the most important benefits of doing Pilates exercise, because all movement emanates from the core. If the core is strong, the appendages can move without undue stress on the spine. A strong core also helps to improve balance and coordination. Pilates helps to strengthen opposing muscle groups. This leads to overall improved flexibility. The whole body functions more efficiently. And so much more...

BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE CLASS
This class will move right along from one exercise to the next, with explanations. No previous training required. All are welcome!

Note: If you have had no Pilates technique training, it is advised that you view/practice the Pilates Basic Preliminary alternative VIDEO/DVD as well as the Stretch and Adoration Video to familiarize yourself with some basics. 

BALLET TECHNIQUE/CENTER CHOREOGRAPHY/STRETCH - THURSDAY  9:30AM - 10:30AM EST

BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE CLASS
This class will move right along from one exercise to the next, without a lot of explanations, leaning more toward intermediate. It is for people who have had some ballet training before and are familiar with some basic terminology and positions, etc. However those with no training are welcome.

After a longer barre time (around 40 minutes),  our center combination work will be learning just an intro to the choreography that we'll do in Saturday's class. During the full session of classes we will learn all or part of a worship dance which may or may not include some flag choreography. In the intensive classes, we'll only be able to learn one or two steps from the choreography.

Note: If you have had no ballet technique training, it is advised that you view/practice the Ballet I DVD to familiarize yourself with some basics.

Please arrive at 5-10 minutes prior to class, to be admitted, fellowship and get comfortable. We will begin class promptly at the start time. Please note: Class begins promptly at the start time. Should you happen to log on to Zoom after the start time, you will be placed in the waiting room until after a particular exercise is completed (could be up to 20 minutes). Maybe just have the mindset that class begins at 9:20, so you don't miss the warm up:).

  • Classes will be recorded on Zoom and the unedited Zoom video link will be given to all intensive participants, sometime that day or the next. But you are encouraged to attend live:)  
  • If you missed the first class (or any of them) and decide to join us later in the week, you'll be given the recording(s) of the one(s) you missed during your session (shortly after you register). So, you may watch at your leisure on your schedule.

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING

Wear comfortable, modest clothing for ease of movement.

Preferably ballet shoes for the ballet classes. But if not, socks, soft slippers or wear comfortable dance shoes (like jazz sneakers, paws, etc).

Bare feet are fine for the Pilates/Stretch classes.

Bare feet are okay for the modern classes, but you want your feet to move easily on the floor without sticking (or slipping). So, 'paws,' ballet slippers, or dance shoes/sneakers are best. 

For Pilates/Stretch, bring an exercise mat to cushion your back. Optional - Pilates ring (for more advanced options).

Water to hydrate frequently.

The classes are primarily geared for adults. There will be no children's classes. Children under 12 may come for free. However EACH child under 12 must be accompanied by a fully registered, participating, responsible adult (18 or older). The child's parent/guardian must read and sign their waiver form or agree to it by electronic signature. We ask that you consider the attention span of your child before registering them. Thank you.

The amount of registrations, offerings, support, etc., is absolutely non-refundable. Nor may it be applied to another conference, or class. It may not be transferred to another person. If for some unforeseen reason, regardless of the situation, you will be unable to attend any or all of the classes, your tax-deductible registration will be considered a love gift/donation to further the work of God through Dancing For Him Ministries. Thank you. NO one-day rates available. We encourage you to attend the entire event or as much of the class(es) as you are able. On the rare chance that I would need to cancel class (internet outage; sickness, etc.), you will be sent a video from a similar class.
