Pros: I haven’t done a processional nor used any banners or flags. I truly enjoyed learning about the scriptural significant color symbolism, reading the practical guide, and learning about the fundamentals needed when preparing for processionals. I will definitely keep this book handy just in case we should start processionals, props, and pageantry in our church. This book provided numerous and awesome ideas for this type of ministry.

It helps me understand the scriptural significance and gives me mountains of practical ideas and examples for the ministry. It helps me explore the utilization of so many different props. Pros: The scriptural significance of using props was a revelation eg the use of the palm branches to acclaim the King of Kings when Jesus entered Jerusalem and also by the multitude of saints in the book of revelation and the use of tambourines as brandishing banners The use of laurels, hoops and arches is something I have never heard before and have thus learned. The experiences about mishaps is very encouraging in that we hear that it did not happen only to us. It also provides good words of caution when we handle flags or props in places we are unfamiliar with, which may contain expensive furniture and decorations.The description of significance of color using colored chart is very original.

Pros: We must minister with sound biblical wisdom and knowledge but also continue to pursue a spirit of excellence. I love the different options Pastor Lynn gives as to how to plan, build and present a processional! The way to describe a processional for practices on paper, the diagrams, all the different shapes and placements are creative and mind opening. As we minister and as we praise, worship and present our Almighty God, we must learn how to prayerfully, with His leading, download His desire in ways that are Bible based, impacted with Truth. When one watches a beautiful worship dance, they do not consider the work behind the scenes that has gone on. It it one thing to watch a dance and another to create and produce a dance. The practical lessons and information in this book will help a dance team leader or member to bring efficiency and organization to planning a dance. Pros: This book made me reconsider the importance of the procession. It has given me so many ideas on how to add dancers, while there is a procession, as in the time of Moses with the triumph of the Israelites after they were freed from the Egyptians. The colors and scriptures also add great information for dance and procession setups.

Pros: All I can say when reading this book, is that I thank the author, Lynn Hayden for putting together such a well laid out, informative and inspiring book dealing with an area of arts that the church has not fully woken up to yet. There was valuable information about how to use groups in processionals with pageantry, including samples of diagrams for staging, which were very helpful. I also liked the fact that Lynn shared from her personal experience (the good, the bad and the occasional flop) as that lent a dose of reality to what goes into the preparation of these special worship events.

Pros: I found this book to be very helpful! I broke a lot of the myths I had and assumptions I didn't know about until I read about God's heart in using these props. And it was helpful to have personal experience by Pastor Lynn about when the rubber meets the road...what some of her past mistakes were and what she learned form it. There were so many helpful resources to understand how props and processionals add to a dance and when does it get "too much" and take away. I say it is a critical resource for dance ministry.

Pros: The book is very organized, in terms of its contents as a practical guide regarding the subject it tackles, as well as its deep touching spiritual significance.  By being positioned in God’s will through daily dedication in letting the truth build and shape our characters, shall reflects-when applied on stage- a new dimension of a deeper relationship with God, as it will be shown in the forms and shapes that our bodies will be taking while performing. 

Pros: This book is an excellent tool to equip the body of Christ with information, tools and weapons to better serve and Glorify God and God alone!! The flag bearer or the banner carrier or the one with the streamer or hoop is truly "raising the standard" to rally the troops in spiritual unity. Pros: What can I say. Processionals, Props and Pageantry is another great book by Pastor Lynn Hayden. It contains so much valuable information my head is still reeling from all its content. In a good way I might add. I think I need to go for a walk, Haliykah. Pastor Lynn’s spirit of excellence leaves nothing uncovered.
