Pros: Lynn Hayden’s book, ‘Dance In the Church, What’s the Pointe?’ This is a short little book, that takes a look at the relevance of dance and dance worship in the church congregation. There are many church going people who are against dancing in general as worldly dancing that goes on in our worldly systems, has given dancing in general a bad reputation. But this book is aimed at showing the difference between worldly dancing and worship dancing. It also shows the scriptural background that would support this kind of worship. Three major reasons are given for adding worship dance to the church congregation. These are for praise, warfare, and winning souls! Music by itself, along with life changing messages from the scriptures, has been instrumental in touching hearts and winning souls. When worshipful movement and praises are added to these two deliveries, the experience in only enhanced. Movement is part of established ceremonies YHWH gave to the children of Israel to follow.

Pros: Excellent resource for Pastors, dance ministers, and members of the congregation who have questions regarding dance as an acceptable form of ministry in a church. As a dance minister, I feel that it really addresses those battles that occur in the mind that can attempt to hinder our freedom to worship Him fully in Spirit and in Truth.

Pros: This book goes into great detail on why someone should be allowed to dance in the church. It was an eye opener for me as there are a lot of people who don't feel that dancing is apart of ministry. This book will have you walking away feeling you can do this without a doubt.

I found it freshly current on my mind in my struggles in waiting on God timing to form a ministry pleasing to the pastor and the church. Pros: The Dance in the Churh: Whats the Pointe? book, was my very first book and I love it! It answered many questions that I had about dancing in the church and encouraged me to get past the fear of man. I have experienced many of the same dilemmas and hardships mentioned in the book and I could really go on forever of the encouragement it has given me to just keep going. I have also received many answers to many questions that I have had from others over the past years of dancing, and for that I am truly thankful! I would definitely refer this book to anyone and everyone who has questions about dance in the Church.

Pros: This tiny little book written by Pastor Lynn Hayden with Dancing For Him Ministries is pure gold. It addresses so much of what is often the discussion concerning dance in church. She discusses worship dancer’s true motivation, congregational attitudes, and includes scriptural references. She addresses the topic for dancers, pastors, and congregations. Packed full this pocket sized reference is an invaluable tool for anyone wanting to understand more of why we should have dance in church. I believe if I had read this fine jewel many years ago it might have helped me on so many personal levels as well as with those around me. I am thankful for it and will recommend it to anyone seeking to understand Dance in Church further.
