Dance Composition Delving 1 - Similar to what was done in Levels 1 and 2 - Create 4 counts of 8 using 2 concepts from the Choreography Book and/or Dance Composition DVD and upload it to the Level 3 FB page.
You must use a group of at least 2 other people in your video OR Describe, in very great detail (in your video), what you will do during your intensive or the graduation conference. If you demonstrate it with a group in your video, then you do not need to do it at the intensive/graduation conference. If you do it at the graduation conference, you'll be given a group to whom you'll give instruction and creative guidance while creating this exercise.
This needs to be exceptional choreography, utilizing the concepts and well defined, meaning we should be able to tell what 2 concepts were used before you even say them. Please be sure to describe in your video which two concepts you will use or used.
Example: Symmetrical Pathways and Complementary Poses
Do NOT just take some other dance or movement and say what was done. It will not be accepted. These movements must be created SPECIFICALLY for this assignment. It would be nice if you actually counted the 4 counts of 8 and actually said the concept as you are doing it.
Example: We're splitting center and walking around 2,3,4, coming back up center, 5,6,7,8; symmetrical Pathways side 2,3,4, come back in, 6,7,8 Now that was only 2 counts of 8. But if you were watching it, the clarity of what you are doing would be apparent. You would clearly see symmetrical pathways and we would hear you counting.
No need to write an essay. However, please just put HERE if you did it with a group or you need to do it with a group at the conference. You still need to do the upload into the L3 Facebook page, but we will be grading more so from the assignment page.
